Fundraising
We’re truly grateful to everyone who’s donated or fundraised for us and for their generosity and kindness. Individual donations and fundraisers have a huge impact, they help us to sustain vital services, raise awareness of our services and highlight the impact of sexual violence.
We have an online fundraising facility set up through Localgiving. If you’re interested in donating online, or fundraising on our behalf, you can find out more about how to do this here. Some people prefer to make a one-off contribution; others choose to make a regular (e.g. monthly) donation. You can also click on the donate button on our site.
Localgiving allows you to set up a fundraising page, to sponsor someone, and to donate to us directly. If you’d prefer to donate in another way, please email us at info@sbrcc.org.uk
What can I do?
People raise funds for us in all sorts of ways. From sponsored runs, walks or bungy jumps to quiz nights, coffee mornings and bake sales, there’s really no limit on the number of ways to get involved.
We can help if you’d like us to, with resources like posters, leaflets, t-shirts and other merchandise. We can also help to promote your fundraiser.

How are the funds I raise used?
The Access and Inclusion Fund helps break down barriers that can prevent survivors from accessing vital support from Scottish Borders Rape Crisis Centre (SBRCC).
Covering a large and rural area, transport is often a major hurdle. Each year, we spend around £1,236 helping survivors travel to and from our centre in Galashiels and outreach venues.
Our outreach support sessions ensure those who can’t or choose not to travel still receive specialist support closer to home. However, these sessions involve additional costs for venue hire, staff travel, and time.
Childcare is another barrier for some survivors, who may struggle to find time for confidential support. Where possible, we cover the cost of registered childcare, allowing survivors to attend sessions knowing their children are in safe hands.
We believe that language should never be a barrier to support. Our use of interpreting services help ensure survivors can access both initial and ongoing support in a language they understand.
In addition, we also offer self-care packages to those accessing our services, they include small, meaningful resources that help survivors feel cared for and supported in their healing.
Easyfundraising
Did you know also that you can raise money for us without it costing you anything? Easyfundraising is an organisation which raises money from online retailers while you shop. There are a range of online retailers which take part including Amazon, eBay, Tesco.com, John Lewis, Next, as well as shopping for holidays, insurance, mobile phones and many more.
All you have to do is create an account. Each time you plan on shopping online if you start off via the Easyfundraising website or app it will register your donation. A few pence each time can soon add up and can make a real difference.
